Jonathan is the co-owner and founder of Reynolds Rehabilitation Enterprises. He received his Bachelor´s and Master´s degrees in Physiotherapy from the University of Cape Town, South Africa in 1987 and 1991 respectively. He worked as a physical therapist in Cape Town for 5 years before immigrating to the United States in 1993. Jonathan worked in Galesburg, IL in outpatient physical therapy practice before commencing a PhD degree at the University of Iowa in 1999. He transferred to the University of Minnesota in 2001 and recently completed the degree; his dissertation research concerned the identification of right shoulder motion and electromyographic exposure variation analysis characteristics in subacromial impingement in orchestral violinists.

Jonathan has been licensed to practice physical therapy in Minnesota since 2002 and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Performing Arts Medical Association, The International Shoulder Group (affiliated with the International Society for Bio mechanics), and the American String Teachers Association. He has traveled throughout the United States and Canada, as well as parts of Asia, teaching continuing education seminars on Functional Capacity Evaluation, Job Site Analysis and Post Offer Evaluation, and he has designed several software programs used in this field.

His clinical work is predominantly in orthopaedic outpatient physical therapy for musculoskeletal injuries sustained by individuals of all ages, especially industrial workers and performing artists. His physical therapy training focused on various manual therapy and functional restoration techniques, including Cyriax, Maitland and McKenzie. In addition to providing physical therapy services, he performs Functional Capacity Evaluations, Job Site Analyses, Ergonomic Analyses and Post-Offer Evaluations in the industrial rehabilitation arena. He has also consulted as an expert witness in medico-legal and medical malpractice cases.
